Product Underwriting and Quality Control

Responsibilities

1. Underwriting Guideline Management

Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines aligned with treaty terms and product requirements.
Coordinate guideline updates related to product, regulatory, and business changes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure underwriting rules remain effective and consistently applied.
Conduct training, knowledge-sharing sessions, and ongoing coaching for underwriting teams to ensure consistent guideline interpretation.

2. Quality Control Oversight

2.1 Quality Control in Underwriting Process

Conduct quality control reviews and sampling to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and company requirements.
Monitor the consistency and accuracy of underwriting decisions across products and channels.

2.2 Quality Control and Quality Assurance in Tele sale Marketing

Conduct quality reviews to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Provide feedback, coaching, and training to QC staff.

3. Reporting & Analysis

Generate reports on underwriting performance and quality metrics.
Investigate quality findings and identify underlying root causes.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support underwriting and quality objectives.
Serve as the key contact for underwriting, quality, and treaty-related matters.

5. Support project as assigned.

Support implementation of underwriting-related projects and business initiatives.
Coordinate project activities among cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualification

1. Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree or higher related fields such as Insurance, Science, Business Administration, Finance or Economics etc. Professional certifications such as LOMA is plus.

2. Professional Experience

Minimum 5–10 years of experience in underwriting, preferably in life, health, or general insurance.
Proven track record in:
- Supporting underwriting guideline development and implementation.
- Conducting quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Delivering training and technical support on underwriting and quality matters.

3. Technical & Functional Skills

Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and underwriting guidelines.
Experience in underwriting systems, digital tools, and data analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

4. Leadership & Management Skills

Ability to coach and support team members.
Ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to drive process improvements and support change implementation.

5. Communication Skills

Intermediate English Language for both writing and speaking.
