economy. They account for more than 99% of all registered businesses and employ the majority of the private sector workforce. MSMEs power Thailand\u2019s tourism, food and beverage, logistics, light manufacturing, and agricultural value chains \u2014 generating income for millions of families and anchoring local economies nationwide. \u00a0<\/p><p>Despite their contribution to socio-economic growth and development, MSME&#8217;s remain highly vulnerable to a variety of climate and weather-related risks. In the face of these risks, Generali and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have partnered to develop research, tools and\u202finnovative insurance solutions to build the resilience of Thailand\u2019s MSMEs, communities and value chains. of<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #c21b17;\"><strong>Thailand\u2019s MSME sector<\/strong><\/span> depend heavily on the well-being of its workforce.<\/p><p>Despite progress in achieving universal health coverage in Thailand, many MSME workers remain excluded from social security schemes and are vulnerable to financial hardship due to rising medical expenses.<\/p><p>Limited access to healthcare and financial protection can lead to increased absenteeism, reduced productivity, and economic insecurity for both workers and MSMEs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div vulnerabilities, and provide a critical safety net for MSME workers in the country.<\/p><p>Two winning solutions will be awarded up to <span style=\"color: #c21b17;\"><strong>US$40,000<\/strong><\/span>, as well as receive technical assistance and be invited to join a global community of insurance innovators<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span such as the Civil Servant Medical Benefit Scheme (CSMBS) for public employees, the Social Security Scheme (SSS) for private sector employees, and the Universal Coverage Scheme (UCS).<\/li><li>Leveraging technology to improve insurance accessibility, affordability, and efficiency.<\/li><li>Scaling up of existing innovative products such as remittance-linked insurance, credit-linked life insurance, and insurance for gig workers who are working for ride-hailing or delivery companies.<\/li><li>Enhancing financial literacy and trust in insurance products among MSME
